Has anyone seen the new Mcqueen Women's Spring/Summer 2013? Stunning! Wasped waisted shillouettes and exagerated hip lines.
There are a couple of flossed corsets, even a pair of trousers has flossing details on them too :) The black corset looks as though it has been corded, the white looks boned :) There is even a corset made from what looks like tortoiseshell but could be resin from what I've read, which has bee embelishments. A Definate on my inspirations list for this years competition :)

Here's the lik if anyone wants to see the full show

Stunning! It's fascinating how he combined an idea of antique flossed corsets with modern materials, and how much texture those material have. Thank you for sharing this Liz, I haven't seen this before.

Very cool. Some of the flossing on the black one looks like it's stitched through the stitched casings. The period flossing they took those details from would have been machine stitched through cane (see the Symmington's flossing article from a year or two ago), and the casings on the black one look very narrow. They're also packed in very tight at the top, which means they must vanish or get even smaller at the waist. Too bad that shaggy gold thing covers up so much.
