I'm new here. I've been intrigued by corsets for most of my adult life, and even purchased a few mall lingerie chain store "corsets" before I knew any better. That experience turned me off for a while, until I started to consider purchasing a higher quality corset, but the price has always been prohibitive, especially with having to factor in travel to the corsetire. Eventually I began to stumble upon resources for making my own, I just never really got around to it (long story).
I am now ready to begin my journey. As you all know, information is hard to come by, and, while I'm willing to blindly follow a pattern initially, I would like very much to innovate, make the corset do what I want it to do. Specifically with regards to exploring the possibility of corseting for medical purposes. I know this involves learning about the engineering of corsets and how x corset feature relates to y body mechanics. This information, so far, has been elusive and I'm hoping those here may be able to point me in the right direction.
