I have a couple of patterns I want to alter, one for an all in one "corset" and another cupped basque which allows for boning. Neither have any kind of waist reduction, but I'm able to work out those alterations myself, however these patterns both fasten with hook and eye tape up the back, rather than lacing up. My question is, to allow for a two inch gap for lacing, where do I need to remove this measurement from? Do I simply remove it from the CB panel, or do I remove it equally from each panel of the corset? Bearing in mind that these patterns are both cupped, although if someone could tell me how to apply this to a design without cups that would be helpful too!

Also, if I do choose to put a busk in the centre front (unlikely right now but for future projects I want to attempt it), do I have to remove anything from the CF to allow for the opening?
