Thank you bookwyrm :cheer: It is indeed a 3/4 machine and goes like a dream :cheer: I can't wait to play with the attachments! :)
Thanks for the heads up on that foot :) If where you insert the bone casing in the foot were different, made to sit higher off the plate to give it a little room under the foot, it might have worked. I still need to get a zipper foot and see if I can find a walking foot :)

That's darling! Is it a 3/4 size machine?

I have that exact same box with those feet. How cool. I found that the one for putting on trim (the kind of flat one with various slots) didn't play right with bone casing - It gave a beautiful, even stitch line along the edge, but the friction of the casing running through the slot in the foot pulled it too tight, and once sewn on it caused the corset to curl. I'm sure it'll be fine once it's got some boning in, but I won't do it again.

So I had a look at the 99K and ended up buying it after I was able to have a go on it :) I loooooove it! :cheer: Here are a few pics

Thanks bookwyrm :) I was looking for a straight stitch and basically thought of going for an older sewing machine. So I'm looking at a Singer 99K and an Antique Singer from 1847 :) Am excited! :cheer:

I have my Gran's old Singer from 1947, a black 15-90 electric. I love it to pieces, and would strongly endorse it to anyone who didn't need a zig-zag stitch. It goes forwards and backwards, and if you have the buttonhole attachment it makes beautiful buttonholes.

Thanks may_bizzare :) I had a look online and found that the machines I was looking at are exactly what I need! :cheer: I will be having a look at them and a little play on them starting next week :cheer:
