Hi there, Im Claire aka TheMistress, good to finally be here!

Im in my *cough* late thirties  and up until recently i worked for my local police force in forensics. Ive worn corsets on and off for many years, many of them were bought ones from Vollers etc. Work (sat on backside infront of a computer) and illness has however seen the pounds pile on and none of my old corsets fit, and i found it increasingly difficult to buy RTW corsetry for someone a lot on the cuddly side. I decided to expand my dabbing into the sewing world by trying to make my own corsets, and since losing my job, i have time on my hands!

I have made a few, but having had to glean information from lots of various sources, some of which don't particularly sit happily together, I have paid for specific corsetry courses and also persuaded the other half for a subscription to FR :woohoo: Im just getting my poor head around patterning from a course I did with Julia Bremble, having never done patterning before I have found it a little hard but im getting there!

I hope to get to know you all and learn lots!!
Claire ;)
