I ordered from Merckwaerdigh at www.etsy.com/shop/merckwaerdigh?ref=shop...ion_shophome_leftnav

Their regular underwires were heavier and stronger than the heavy duty ones from BraMakers. The postage was reaoonable and they arrived fairly quickly to be so far away from me in the USA.

I haven't got any ideas for you, so all I can say is - Good luck! Let us know if you find any suppliers!

I am almost finished my first bra. Took almost a year and a half to get this far (joyful relief abound!!!!). But now I'm planning my next bra and I would like to have what I lacked in this current endeavor- STRONG UNDERWIRES!

I read the article on making the wires and searched high and low on the internet but I can't seem to find any premade galvanized steel vertical underwires in my size (roughly a 56 by bramakers.com sizing). All that comes up are those flexlite wires which don't make me feel very secure. If anyone ever pulls the underwire out of a Panance Super Tango II, that is some heavy duty stuff. That's the type I would like to purchase.

Tried to contact the Panache home base to see if they would tell me who their supplier is or at least sell me some pairs of underwires but they declined. And I can't go to a thrift store to get old bras to dismantle- girls my size hold onto every bra until it disintegrates. I have purchased some of the flexlite underwires from Bramakers.com and plan to double up a shorter set with a longer one for the time being.

If anyone knows of a company that will sell to a residential consumer not just corporations, I would greatly appreciate it.
