The whole point of roll pinning is that the edges shouldn't line up - the curve will eat up more fabric from the outside sections and less from the inside sections. So your cut edges will probably not line up, no.

Do you have a picture of where you're stuck? Is it a bunch of multi-layer corset pieces, full of pins, or basted together? Did you leave the lining free or is it included in the roll pinning? I'm not quite sure how to guide you next, but knowing where you are right now will help.

You can make boning channels from seam allowances, just be sure you add enough to make a channels from them.

Not sure about the second issue though :/

I'm still having issues.

I restarted this corset with only one strength layer, but now I'm a bit lost as to how to do the boning channels. I had wanted to make the boning channels by sandwiching them between the strength layers (much like in Laura's Silverado articles). But with only one strength layer, I can't sandwich them ... I was really trying to avoid needing to add channels...any suggestions on how I can avoid attaching boning channels?

Also, just to see how it would go, I tried Laura's method (the article linked in a previous post) and now I have the panels all roll pinned... but now what? I cannot find any more articles that goes into putting the panels together... The edges don't quite match up, an when i started pinning the panels together, it seemed like they didn't line up. When I forced them to, it seemed to warp everything. :-/

Yeah, you really don't need as much as all that. Keep us posted on how it works out!

I've been having that same issue. I didn't even realize I was trying to make a four-layer corset, I considered the fashion layer and the strength layer to be a single layer but my other strength layer and lining as two separate layers. Mine looks exactly like your picture, and I have been struggling with getting the seams to line up as well. I'm new to corset making and still learning and since I am starting with canvas instead of coutil I was concerned a single strength layer would not be enough. Think I'll be starting over tonight with the one strength layer and see how mine goes. Good luck, though!

Thanks! I'll have to try that when I start a new corset! Right now, I've had to put sewing and corsetry on hold so I can finish this semester
