Hi,

I'm new to the forum, and a beginner at corset making and sewing in general. I've had a lot of discouragement in other places because I'm new to sewing, but I'm not doing too badly and I'm soaking up all the information I can find.

Here's what my first corset is looking like at the moment:

I still need to put the boning in, do the bottom edge and put the grommets and lacing in. There's a lot I will do differently when I make my next one! I didn't make a toile for starters, so I think that the lacing at the back is going to have a V shape, which is annoying, but lesson learnt.

Looks good for your first corset! Don't be discouraged, everyone starts somewhere and the only thing that matters is your drive to learn the craft
