To any professional corsetieres,

I recently did a long distance fitting as practise with a family member I am gifting a corset to. I wonder if you could give me any advice on how you go about these?
I drafted an overbust and got her to email me pictures of it on, luckily it didnt need too many adjustments so I have happily started making the final corset without a second mock up, due to time restrictions.
I found it hard handing over control as you are relying on getting accurate information from a person who potentially has no dressmaking experience and possibly doesn't know how to pin a seam etc. Do you make a second mock up based on the info they give you? Or do you advise them to get assistance from someone who does have experience and then re work the mock up they send back with neccassary adjustments?
Any advice would be much appreciated!
Thanks x
