First of all, I'd like to say that I'm so glad to have found this website. I'm trying to learn about lingerie making and didn't found anything on french websites (except stuff like how to hack a bra you already have and that kind of stuff) so foundations reavealed kind of changed my life !
More about me : I'm a semi-professional seamstress. Semi-professional because I partly work in various theaters in "wardrobe managment" (not sure if this is the actual term but anyway you get the point) and I partly work in my very own workshop, making clothes and accessories that I sell or, to be more accurate, will sell, as I'm trying to figure out what I really want to do and drafting stuff and trying new stuff until I think it's good enough to be sold.
I have a degree in historical costume and last year I took an intensive class of historical corset making with a absolutely wonderful teacher. Altought I'm not planning to be a professional corset maker, I really wanted to know how to make them, because I'd really want to be a professionnal vintage lingerie maker. BUT, I didn't found any serious classes here in France, and anyway, I thought corset making would be a great start to understand underwear and shapewear (and it really was)
So, this is why I'm here... Trying to figure out how to make beautiful vintage underwears that are wearable in today's life. So if you have any advice / website / book / anything else you think would help me, please tell !
