Here I am, I'm sorry I didn't reply straightway but I was busy finishing off a corset for my sister and it was a challenge! (She is very thin and totally flat chested and wanted something that could make her appear more womanly). I think it turned out well, so maybe I'm going to post a few pics: the articles and the advices I found here helped me a lot and the difference between before and after is evident so thank you all
@may_bizarre: I kept the line low because I'm going to put lace on the top and it will go half over the top of the corset to create e see-throgh effect. I didn't thought about the tatoo, but I don't mind if it shows a bit
@bookwyrm: Thank you for your advice, I fixed the bust and reduce the wrinkling in the low back (I hope cording will remove the few wrinkles left). About the belly I know this is the style of the corset and I love it, I just took in a little because there was too much space, probably due to the enlarging of the back panel, but the cupping effect is still there
The really tedious part was copying all the cording lines on the panels, now I'm cording them and I find the entire process to be really easier than I expected and this is wonderful because I love cording so I think I'm going to use it frequently in the future.
When I'm done I will post a pic of the finished corset.
Also, about cording, I have to make myself a medieval costume for I fair I have to attend as a seller and I wanted to make a corded corset belt similar to the one in this photos, but I am a little insecure about the pattern (I asked the seller if I could buy their pattern but they said no, so I'm trying to figure it out on my own since I want it done a little diffrently than theirs). It seems to me that the cording is vertical all over in the front and I think it has one panel on the front, two on the sides and two in the back. Do you think I could do this pattern myself using Cathy Hay method or do you perchance know of a pattern that could be useful? [if you think it's better I could open a new topic for this]
